Room 235- Saturday evening

Alexis' double room had been cleaned up and the furniture had been pushed around to provide ample socialization room. There was a whole seating area if people wanted more intimate conversation, or if they'd come but also wanted to just sit there and not be bothered. She'd nicely begged Fosse to help her hang up- which meant he just did it- strip lights along the ceiling that bathed the room in a nice colorful glow that changed in time with the music she had playing in the background.

Everything was ready, the door was open so anyone passing by had no excuse to not peek in unless they were actively avoiding the party. Now people just had to show up.

Which, you know, if people didn't show then it would be upsetting, but even worse, Tahani would gloat, and Alexis just couldn't have that.

Astrid had a actually been looking forward to this since the invite went out she didn't know her well, but she liked Alexis so far, and she generally liked Fandom parties, even if she mostly wound up resigning herself to standing in some corner, slowly nursing a drink. Whicj was likely what she'd wind up doing here, especially with the lights matching the music like that and finding a certain fascination in how it cast different lights and shadows on people's faces. It was a good distraction, from a certain other distraction making her more nervous than she probably should have been when waiting to see who else might show up.

Sabine was planning on skipping the party, but she really was drawn in by the lights and a vague curiosity of what a party like that was like.

She figured at most she'd grab a drink and hang out for a little while until she got bored. You know, like she didn't get dragged into these things every time or anything.

Wayne preferred a Bush party type of party over a dorm room type of party, but a party was a party, so of course he'd make an appearance, toting the requisite couple of packs of Puppers walking with him even if the invite said all that was provided. You just didn't show up fer a party and not bring reinforcements, though.

Ulysses had definitely received the party invite! He'd also completely forgotten about it until he was walking past Alexis' room and heard voices and whatever but, hey.

The way he swanned in would've probably been a little awkward even if he had been on his way here on purpose since longer than ten seconds ago.

Tahani strolled in completely overdressed for this adorable little house party.

Because she totally didn't had somewhere else to be after this, but it was polite to make an appearance at her former roommate's place.

"Oh, this is so very quaint!" she gushed sort of sincerely.

If she was honest, Freya didn't really get parties. Then again, the last few years of her life were spent dedicated to gruelling training so that she could become one of the most elite warriors in the world and carry on a rich history of her people, and she'd been the first female to ever do so, and so while Burmecian girls her age might have been attending parties like this, she was off fighting dragons and throwing spears.

But there was significantly less training to do here, and she sort of lost out the hope that she'd find her Sir Fratley hidden away in some as-of-yet somehow undiscovered corner of the island.

So she might as well give it a try, right? It couldn't be all that awkward...

...no. No. This was all...very awkward, but she imagined it would get a little better once she had a few of those drinks.

Shuri came in and definitely made a beeline for the lighting, trying to reverse engineer how it was working by staring at it long enough.

If she was totally honest about it, Janet didn't make it out as much as she should. So she could actually make it out to a party once in a while.

She'd only just look a little awkward even with a drink in hand.

Let’s see. Eleanor idea of a party was usually loud music and memories that usually shouldn’t be remembered later.

Walking in to the room this place looked... nice.

So feeling awkward she decided the best thing to do would be to determine if there was enough free food and booze to abscond with without anyone noticing.

Alexis' desk has been covered with a way fancier tablecloth than she has any right to have in the dorms, and there are moddable snacks all over it.

There's also something that looks suspiciously like a bar cart? Not that a student would have one of those in the dorms, definitely not, but let's just say drinks are moddable too.

Sabine was never sure how she ended up playing these games, but at least she was getting better at finding questions.

"I've never done any kind of performance."

...She said that, remembered that the snow monsters might count, and then decided to pretend it didn't happen.

Astrid considered the group again as she tried to think of another one, but came up with a good general one to use until she came up with something a little better.

"I've never had a pet."

And now came the time of the night when Astrid threw one out specifically because she knew it would make Sabine drink. It was practically tradition at this point.

"I've never," she proposed, "had a roommate almost throw me out of a window."

She was going to say she'd never been transformed into a bird before, but this was related to that and opened the door for some interesting insight if anyone other than Sabine actually did drink.
